Smoke rose from the roof of the school when two air handlers went up in flames at around 3:30 a.m. A GBS maintenance worker spotted the fire when he was plowing the snow.
“Fortunately, the fire department was able to respond quickly as they’re on the same lot,” said Associate Principal Gary Freund.

After having a successful 19-8 season last year, the boys’ water polo team will look to build off that success and carry that momentum into this season. On the four nights of the Variety Show, Glenview citizens and Glenbrook South students saw some members of the defending state champion hockey team dancing and thrusting their hips like there was no tomorrow. Yet, for the fourth-ranked Glenbrook South hockey team, the future is very bright.
